I was very fortunate this summer to have had the opportunity to visit a number of places.

Over 6 weeks, I was in Minnesota, Mexico, Bulgaria, Switzerland, Italy, and England.

Before each trip (except the Minnesota oone), I had a PCR test, so nearly 10 in all.

What I saw was a group of people who had learned to adjust, adapt as humans are wont to do.

Masks on the planes and in the terminals. Masks on public transport (e.g. subways) and in Uber/Lyfts.

Hand sanitizers everywhere. Signs proclaiming the cleaning protocols under way and in effect. Air circulating in the cabins.

For me, counterintuitively, the airports felt like some of the safest places to be (as hygiene was paramount), but I saw a lot of the same in stores and restaurants. People have just figured it out.

We got used to security checkpoints after Yasser Arafat invented the plane hijacking in the 60s/70s. Then, we got used to TSA after 9/11.

Now, we’re getting used to next level hygiene.

It may end up being a positive impact.

Bottom line…life goes on and people learn to deal, no matter where they live.
