I saw this angry tweet from Erik Voorhees directed at SEC Commissioner, Gary Gensler, who is rapidly becoming Public Enemy #1 in the crypto world.
This is just one transparent DAO.
If you go to Deep DAO that lists 164 such organizations.
It made me think about the rhythm of business that we have come to accept as normal and regular, the quarterly earnings statement.
Now, it may be valuable to have a quarterly review of performance and use that as a time for strategy adaptation, that’s fine.
But the idea that organizations tell their stakeholders “here’s where we are” only happens on a quarterly basis is soon to be anachronistic.
In the organizational world of the future, any org will be fully auditable by anyone at anytime, 24/7/365.
That will bring a new level of transparency, stakeholder capitalism, and trust that is simply impossible in our current paradigm.
The changes will ripple out from there.
NFTs, cryptocurrencies, and smart contracts all matter, but it’s the implication of the arrival of those changes that really matters.
One of them is fully transparent, auditable, and trustworthy organizations.
