Escapism
Getting away
Leaving the 9–5
Taking your pay
Going to different places
A separate time
New rooms
To vacate
The mind
The soul
To free us more
Just enough
To mellow ourselves
A calming peace
Yet it does not last
For the vacate fills
Our emptied shells
With new plans
Appointments
Bills
But for leisure
For fun
To wash over our stressful pasts
And ignore the days to come
Then
As if spun into a rewind
We commute back
From the vacate
To the 9–5
