Just recently watch Reminiscence this weekend and it reminded me, once again, just how much of a booming business Neuralink/other BCI units will become.
For the initial visionaries that can also afford such a powerful, memory-recalling and capturing BCI device, it will be a no-brainer. Charge hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars to a potential client just so they can have a memory placed on some sort of viewable media?
The gold mine literally maps itself.
If you could give a elder some memories of their past in HD/4K/8K, I’m sure the elder would gladly fork over their to-be-used vacation money for that.
Sure, once capable BCI units hit mass production and the entry price drops, those same customers would prefer to have the BCI itself. Rather than paying someone else for the product said BCI produces.
However, who knows how long the time span between the 1% affording the first high-end tier units and the common folk affording the mass manufactured version.
On the unfortunate side of things, I can also see the scam ads & informercials now..

Sigh…
