🤩“Joking Talk” About Blockchain | Third Lecture : Characteristics of blockchain - decentralization❗

From PC Internet to mobile Internet, from e-commerce to cloud computing, the 20-year-old Alibaba has a very sensitive technical sense, and has not missed any wind of the times. This time, Alibaba has focused on the blockchain. Ma Yun once said that for Alibaba, blockchain is not a gold mine, but a solution. Alibaba must have blockchain. Without blockchain, people will die.

Of course, this sentence may be exaggerated, but it is not an empty one. After all, Nokia has done nothing wrong, but it has lost. At present, Alibaba is not the only one who is optimistic about blockchain. Tencent's blockchain invoice has been piloted in Shenzhen, and the blockchain game has also been launched. Jingdong's blockchain logistics, Baidu's public chain and Huawei's blockchain + cloud computing have all been pushed forward. It is worth pondering. Why do giants value blockchain?

Therefore, what are the advantages of blockchain and why it deserves the favor of giants.

We all know that big data is a trend. For giants, whoever can manage data better in the future will have advantages. Blockchain is like a database, which can help giants solve this problem. Compared with internet databases, the unique feature of blockchain is its decentralization, which is also the most important feature of blockchain. So what is centralization?

For example, the software we usually use for shopping is actually a centralized platform. Whether you choose products or pay transactions, there is an inextricable role for buyers and sellers, that is, the creation company of the software. It can get all the data of users in this process, and even determine the sales volume of the seller's shop (such as search ranking). It has great power and is the central role in the whole process, which belongs to centralization.

The so-called decentralization is to get rid of the center and decentralize the power originally belonging to the central role, so that users can freely carry out point-to-point transactions. For example, the data generated by the original user's shopping is left to the user for management, and the centralized company can only retrieve the data and has no right to view it; for example, the quality of the business will be entirely determined by the user, and the centralized company has no way to do the search ranking and affect the sales volume of the business, which belongs to decentralization.

The benefits of decentralization are reflected in two aspects. On the one hand, it reduces the security risks of the network. For example, the data in the original Internet is stored in a central node. Once the hacker attacks the central node, the whole network can be destroyed. After decentralization, because the network is multi node maintenance, each node has equal rights, even if one node has problems, it will not cause a greater impact. On the other hand, it is to decentralize the power of the centralized company, avoid the emergence of data monopoly, and ensure the privacy of users' information. So, to some extent, decentralization is the communism of the Internet world.

Blockchain is also the trend of the times, because as data becomes more and more important, more and more people realize the importance of data, and ultimately the decentralization of data rights must be the inevitable result (think of those data monopoly companies in science fiction movies, they can't really let this product appear). Therefore, who can balance the relationship between data processing efficiency and user information security, who can better face the future.
