The white-breasted waterhen is a waterbird and is commonly found in lakes and ponds. The waterhen lives in shallow water and is also found in cultivated lands. They are very shy and hide in bushes on seeing any human. I saw this bird in Rawal lake around the corners and forging on the ground. I also saw this bird near the canal banks. They are very beautiful, they are dark grey with a white face, breast, and belly.

As they live in the field so their big claws are helpful. They walk on grass floating on water. Their big legs are also helpful to walk in shallow water and search for fish. Mostly they live alone and in the breeding season in pairs. They are very quiet during feeding. I mostly saw these birds when I was hiding, otherwise, it is very difficult to photograph them.
