Two Years In, I Still Check the Marketplace First Thing
RollerCoin has been a struggle and a good thing for me at the same time. Two years now, and I still can't fully explain why I keep opening it. But I do. Most of my off time goes into checking the marketplace, scrolling, seeing if I can catch something before someone else does. Last night I went on a small spree and conjured up 15 RLT just by flipping a small miner. Nothing massive. But it felt good.
I made a bit of an introductory YouTube video, just showing some aspects and things I like. I could make strategy content, or passive income stuff.
There was a time when I couldn't do this for the whole day. I was free to play and I wasn't thinking about what I'd get back. I just added time because that's what you do when you have nothing invested. Now that I actually get something back, I'm thinking about getting more. That's the trap, I know. But I'd also really like the game to survive. And it has, a decade now, still going.
What keeps me hopeful is the Discord. The way the team talks to each other, the way they talk to the community, the variety of things they're still working on, it brings me joy, honestly. They reduce rewards when the game isn't making much, which tells me they're paying attention to the numbers and not just milking it. For every hamster deal they bring out, thousands of players are already ready to drop 100 to 200 dollars. I wouldn't do that. But most people will say it's good, and I get why.

Yesterday I wrote a post on the league system, you can read it if you once joined and thought the grind was too much. Though I don't think I did justice there. Could have done more. It's here:

The league system splits everyone into weight classes now, which is fairer for new players. The hamster expeditions are the newer thing, a parallel income stream that runs alongside your mining. You send them out, survival rate decides the reward, and they rest for 24 hours after. It's slower, but it's friendly for people like me who've been grinding a long time and want something that doesn't demand the whole day.
The game isn't solved. It's strategic. It's deeply addictive. And somehow, after two years, I'm still here.
If you want to give it a try, you can register through my referral link, I earn a small commission from it, which keeps my grinding going: Rollercoin
