How? By listening to useless bloggers, constantly trying to catch every single move, looking at futures screenshots with +100500% profit, getting inspired, and jumping straight into futures trading.
If you distance yourself from everyone, clear your head, open the chart, and look at the market from the outside, you will see identical movements. By identical, I don't mean patterns like 'Belly and Legs,' 'Zero,' or 'Paralepiped.' Don't complicate things. These are sideways movements (flat) and trend-following movements — meaning the continuous movement of price from one specific zone to another over a period of time. What will you realize? You will see identical price movements in the past and realize that no news or events actually have a real impact on the market. On the contrary, you will understand that money is made precisely through all sorts of global disasters and so on.
Bull market: In this market, everything is growing; under the guise of profit, you should have an excellent percentage return, and you should be holding Stablecoins or BTC.
Bear market: In this market, everything is falling — as we know, altcoins drop by -90/-95%. In this market, using the profits from the bull market, you should gradually accumulate the assets you're interested in.
Yet the crowd does everything in reverse.
In a bull market — holding all sorts of assets you don't understand, listening to the speeches of various bloggers, and waiting for an x1000. It wouldn't be so bad if they were bought at minimum prices, but no — the purchase points are right near the all-time highs. You just want to say, 'Well, aren't you a genius.' No, everything is rising, the hype keeps going, gotta jump into the last carriage once again ('What a genius').
In a bear market, everything is the exact opposite. No matter how much the price falls, most of the portfolio sits in stablecoins. Why? Fear: everything is falling, it’s gonna drop another -30% -50%, then I'll start buying. This is what's known as the desire to catch the absolute bottom of the trend. But what if a reversal happens before you manage to catch it, man? The lower the market falls, the more market participants exit into fiat out of sheer terror. The stupidest move of all is selling even those assets that were bought just 2–3 months ago.
Don't trade assets; trade trends and cycles. Because asset prices move in accordance with market trends and cycles.
