Well I Never! Did You Read Your Email About Google Account 2021 Policy Changes Yet? Data Winner?

By XTRM™ | Cryptopia | 14 Dec 2020

Ha today has been eventful already for myself... A few surprises however one has stood out, being the latest updates in respect of new Google Account Policy Changes - this in particular highlights perhaps quite the coup for those who worry about data that they may have lost via old Google Accounts that Web surfing persons have forgotten passwords for and ditched the account - to those that may be thinking "oops I wonder what ever happened to that account with all the photographs of artwork on it?" Ha lol...

But before I continue thank you to everyone who has read, commented and fired a tip on my last article in respect to fraudulent investment companies - it means a lot and I will continue to investigate along with scream my fingers off via the keyboard on my laptop, downright will certainly share the latest finds and lowdown in regard the surge of lowlifes that wish to con Crypto Investors out of their hard fought for Cryptocurrency.

On topic... Google tech boffins, monkeys, geniuses, geeks - call them what you want, have decided that any accounts found to have been unused for a period of two-years plus - will be read the Riot Act and slapped with a USD$1 fine... I do jest of course. Google will be deleting those accounts and all the data associated with those accounts that have not been used for that period of two-years.

Google should have sent all present and past Google Account holders an email stating the new changes which will take effect from, June 1st, 2021. You should read it good people.. It is quite interesting, and renders many conspiracy type questions to my mind.

In the email Google state: 'If you're inactive for 2 years (24 months) in Gmail, Drive or Photos, we may delete the content in the product(s) in which you're inactive. Google One members who are within their storage quota and in good-standing will not be impacted by this new inactive policy.

If you exceed your storage limit for 2 years, we may delete your content across Gmail, Drive and Photos.'

Google also mention that: 'You won't be impacted by these changes unless you've been inactive or over your storage limit for 2 years. As this policy goes into effect June 1, 2021, the earliest it would be enforced is June 1, 2023.'

The full details are obviously found in your Gmail Account Inbox if you are an account holder - if not no point worrying about it... Unlesssssss!

Maybe this is a winner for both sides. Google free some shit up, and data worriers get a reprieve.

This involves new storage policies for Google Accounts using Gmail, Google Drive (including Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drawings, Forms, and Jamboard files) and/or Google Photos.
