If cryptocurrency is only about moonshots and individual financial freedom, it seems that the bar has been set very low. In fact, financial freedom tends to encourage the same bad financial behavior we have seen in TradFi. I think there is a real opportunity for Web3, crypto, and blockchain tech to present bonafide uses and solutions to everyday problems and concerns. One way to capture this shift is to ask: What if cryptocurrencies were primarily not a means to passive income?
