Human Barbie - Don’t Run Away
I have a big love for French movies and music - there’s an aesthetic feeling that you’d be hard pressed to dig up anywhere else. Now, Human Barbie might be imported from the US, but it feels like it was made on the streets of Paris, I can’t be sure but for the sake of the argument lets just go with that she came to be there, if she didn’t I’m pretty sure she would love living there for a year or two.
The name Human Barbie would probably be something most of you would steer clear of, unless you’re indulging on tv shows such as Jersey Shore (is that still a thing? I haven’t had tv for years, so I’m horribly out of the loop). However, when couple with the mellow and emotionally pleasing tone in Don’t Run Away it all of a sudden creates a much different image and feeling. I like the name, it’s the same kind of odd and comforting as Jean-Pierre Jeunet movies - you want to live in that “feeling”.
I hope there’s more to come from Human Barbie, we’d all be a little better off.
