About 9 months ago I wrote this article - Top 5 coins not to buy on the current market.
I called 5 coins that are not a good investment at this moment in April 2021. Let's recap.
1) Dogecoin
Doge lost about 65% of its value from 9 months ago when it has just hit $0,40. Yes, it went a little further than 40 cents after that, up to 68, but this is a pretty small reward with a huge risk. I am considering myself 100% correct on this call.
2) XRP
Back in April 2021, Ripple was $1.40. Currently, it's 40% down. In general, I avoid XRP except only for quick and cheap transfers and not for storing value. And in generally buying over $1 I consider it in the highly risky territory to lose value. Just remember the fact that during this bull cycle, Ripple was one of the few coins that went nowhere near their all-time high.
3) Digibyte
9 months ago DGB was sitting at $0.14. As you can see the 80% drop is just as predicted. I never considered a DigiByte as a serious investment, but with the huge price increase back then it got a lot of attention. Hopefully, nobody decided to keep it in long term.
4) Tezos
Back then XTZ was at about $6 and losing 40% of its value cannot be justified holding XTZ to get the 5-7% Yearly interest of staking. I sold my Tezos last year near all-time high territory for BNB and never looked back.
5) Litecoin
Back in April 2021, LTC was at about $260. As you can see, we are nearly 60% down from it.
I still stand by my words - those coins are not a good place to store the value of your money, even if the price is down with a bigger chance to earn.
