Some time ago I found out PlayVIG, a platform that pays players to play their favorite games.

You need to install their software which tracks your progress and plays adds and collect as many points as you want. If you are good in more than 1 of those games it's nice bonus for you. Me for example, I play only Hearthstone and collecting points goes kind of slow, but hey, if you are a serious gamer, you can make nice amount of money while playing. It basically works that:

You log in the launcher, choose a game, and pick one of the "quests" in it. They are different for each game, but they do not require you to complete anything extraordinary. You can repeat most of the quests until you get the best result possible and you receive points. Once you receive the points, you move to the "SHOP" and purchase whatever you want. There are some material rewards, but the interesting part is that you can get money directly to your PayPal.

Once you get bored with certain game you can always switch to another ;) I know there's people actually spending multiple hours a day playing those games. Play for a month and you could possibly get that next upgrade to your computer that you were short on money to buy it.

The only drawback is that you are required to watch 3 adds between every game. But I'm guessing that's how they can afford to pay players, so why not monetize your gaming.
