Back in time, I had a lesser paying job, so whenever time was coming to change my phone, I had to sell my old device.

Now I had a better paid job and selling the old device for the fraction of the money I paid for it does not appeal to me. So I keep them. Most of them at least. I have currently -> 1 daily driver, 2 older phones, one tablet. All of them are running android. Anyway, each of them is using only 5 wats of electricity which is not affecting my electricity bill whatsoever. Anyway, let me share with you what I'm using them for:

1) Electroneum mining -> it's cloud based, free of charge(does not use your phone's resources). The reward per phone is about 100 ETN per month. Which at the current rate is about 30-something cents. Anyway, it is important to note that their app requires user verification for each device, so if you want to set it up on multiple devices you should ask some friend/family members to assist you. One way to improve your earnings is to make each of them your affiliate. Also important to note is that you need to renew the cloud mining each 7 days. If anyone wants to join under my code you can find it here: 48F497. ETN coin can be traded in multiple exchanged. Application is available for Android and iOS.

2) Phoneum mining -> same as ETN, PHM can be mined in the cloud. Again it required manual renewal every 7 days. The coin itself is ERC-20 compatible and can be stored in any such wallet (including my favorite Atomic Wallet). Additionally there are 1-2 different games attached to this project, if you find them interesting(I don't) you can earn even more with them. Anyway, This can be ran separately with different accounts on unlimited number of phones and does not requires any special authentication rather than ID and password. It is hard to say how much cents is that, because the project is still in development. You however can trade the coins for ETH on Latoken, but the rate is bad at this moment. Perhaps it will go up in the future.

3) Pi network. Cloud mining. This project is still in beta, app is on Google Play store and iOS. As far as I'm aware trading should be enabled in Q1 of 2020. Currently we only can accumulate Pi, but renewing the cloud mining every 24 hours. A side from that you can invite people to join your network which is beneficial to your mining speed. 4) Bitradio -> Listen to radio via their app on android and iOS and get paid in BRO coin. Tons of radio stations to choose from. But in general you don't even need to listen to it. You can simply mute the phones and you will still be earning. In Addition to that you can install BRO Core wallet and start staking(you need PC for that) whatever you "mine" by "listening" the Radio. Or if you manage to collect 2500 BRO you can start a Masternode for even higher earnings. I do not think there is an affiliate/referral program. You can earn about 1-2 BRO per day per phone. So you can hook up all devices to listen to radio and point them out to the same wallet, where you stake the earnings. Currently the price of BRO is about 1 cent and it can be traded on Exchange - Crex24. Important note is you need to keep the app running, on certain phones, with display on.

5) CryptoTab -> for the mobile version, it does not actually mine with your phone's hardware, but actually uses some kind of cloud mining system. The payment is in Bitcoin -> you simply need to download the browser from the Google Play Store/Apple app store and log in with Google account and enable SDP mining (Server Dependent Mining). The earnings you can withdraw once you get about 0.07 cents in bitcoin, which is great. To increase the earnings, you can log with different accounts on each phone and make them referrers of each other. So you will get referral bonus for each additional phone with the earnings(You can do that on PC too, if you are using CryptoTab.

6) Mobilio - it's an app designed only for your daily driver. When you drive(car, bus, whatever) the app will reward you with 1 point for each minute you are not distracted with looking to your phone. You will lose points if you unlock your phone. Anyway, it is great incentive - safe driving. The points you get can be traded for Mobilio crypto, which should be tradable from Q1 of 2020 according to their team. Those are my methods. I came to the idea of this article from a piece I found on the internet, not related to crypto. On how to earn regular money with your phone farm. As I haven't really researched the topic I will leave here the link to the original article.

Just one additional note, if you guys do additional research, keep in mind this - if you find a software that actually mines with your phone's CPU, this will cause the phone to become very hot and might fry it. I do not recommend it. Every app I mentioned here does not use processing power for mining.
