"Digital Snake pit" is the best way I can think of to describe a website like Investor's protect.

This is one of many websites that promote those popular HYIP (high-yield investment program) websites, either by listing them in their database or placing their ads across all the empty space on the webpage. In General, the website pretends to care about Users, by reporting if those listed HYIPs are paying. However, this is not exactly the case. In reality, this is a business venture that makes money from the people who use their referral links on the page. They create the so-called monitors and report when the HYIP stops to pay:

And this inevitably happens at some point. All of those are Ponzi schemes masked with different skins - some of them are claiming to be cloud mining platforms, others are Investment programs, auto-trading bots, and so on. The common sign between them is that they always offer unrealistically high-income returns - like 1% per day, 0.15% per hour, 12% per week. They have different investment tears - usually one very cheap with the amount of 2-5-10 USD (either in Crypto or something like Perfect Money). And they start paying in the beginning so you get hooked and decide to refer more people or invest more money for one of their higher investment programs. Just one example so you can understand:
