I have some Hydro tokens back from the day when Publish0x was paying in it. Recently Hydro was migrated to Binance Smart Chain so you can move your tokens from being ERC-20 to BEP-20, which will significantly reduce fees.
In addition to that, the BEP-20 version of Hydro is 1:100 compared to the old ERC-20. This means that if you have 1000 HYDRO on the Ethereum network and you convert them on the BSC you will be having 10 of them. This is related to the recent spike in the price of Hydro.
The steps for the migration are quite simple. You need to set up and Metamask wallet first. Import your ETH wallet where you hold your ERC-20 HYDRO tokens by using the private keys. Press the circular button in the top right corner:
Select Import account:
From the drop-down menu "select type" choose the "Private Key" option. Put your string in the empty line below and press import.
Once you are done with that part you should be able to see the content of your wallet in the app. It should looks something like this:
The next step is to add the Binance smart chain to the wallet. This can be done from the drop menu where you see "Ethereum mainnet" by selecting "Custom RPC":
Once you press it you will have this form to fill:
This is the information you need to fill inside:
Network Name: Binance Smart Chain
New RPC URL: https://bsc-dataseed.binance.org/
ChainID: 56
Symbol: BNB
Block Explorer URL: https://bscscan.com
Once done, press "Save" and you will be able to use it in the same way any other Blockchain is used. It's a good idea to have some BNB in it so that you will be able to complete transactions because that is how the gas fees are paid. The next step is to add the Hydro token to the wallet in BSC, because it will not show automatically. For that, you need to select the add token button on the bottom of the window:
Once you do that you will need to go to the Custom token tab and place the HYDRO contract address: 0xf3dbb49999b25c9d6641a9423c7ad84168d00071. Normally this will be enough and Metamask will automatically display the rest of the information:
Token Symbol: HYDRO
Decimal: 18.
If not you can add them manually and then press NEXT. This is how it looks(don't mind the fact that I have no BNB in this wallet).
I guess some of the old Publish0x users might be holding the HYDRO tokens and this may be useful to them.
