Hi Friends
I think that the old users on HIVE know HiveVote for sure, perhaps new friends may not have used it yet. I will write about why HiveVote is one of the important applications for HIVE in this post.
I have been on HIVE for over six years and I have been on HIVE every day for the past two years and a half. I read, upvote and comment on the posts of different people everyday, together with the authors I follow daily. In other words, we can actually call it manual curation. Besides, when I am on HIVE, I check various accounts and there is one point that catches my attention. Not regarding the amount of HIVE Power, I see some accounts stay 100% idle. This may not be so important if the upvotes are to take place on the same day. On the other hand, if the account is going to be idle like this every other day or for longer periods of time, this situation doesn't make any sense to me neither for the account itself nor for the HIVE Community.
Suppose you won't be able to log into HIVE and upvote for the posts due to vacation, work or private life, illness or similar reasons. It is where HiveVote comes knocking our door as an application that will serve for us. Even if you are not on HIVE, your account can automatically upvote posts and you can earn curation rewards (passive income) by using the features of HiveVote. So how do we do this? Here I will write about the "Fanbase" and "Curation Trail" features of HiveVote. I am sure how to use HiveVoe has been explained many times before. Let me tell you from the beginning anyway.
First, we log in to hive.vote. Since I use HiveSigner, I log in with it.
Then a menu like this appears. Let's start with the Fanbase feature first.
On the page that opens after clicking on Fanbase, there is a small search bar to find the HIVE user. We search for the person, we will be upvoting automatically, by writing thier nickname on the HIVE Blockchain. Like @tarazkp for example.
After clicking follow, the user we will follow is added to the list below. In this list, we can set when and with how much percentage of our HIVE power to upvote the posts shared by the users we follow. If you want, you can turn off user-based or the whole automatic upvote even though the users are on the list.

The Curation Trail feature is for joining the curation trails created by various communities or individuals. Like @ecency for example. You can choose this feature if you want to avoid adding people one by one as in the Fan Base feature and upvote for the quality posts. We search without putting @ before the HIVE username of the curation trail from the search bar as in the same way of Fanbase feature. We click on follow on the page that comes up next. In the settings, we can set when and with how much percentage of our HIVE power to upvote after that curation trail has upvoted any post. You can do this one by one or wholly from the Settings For Selection section.

Last, I would like to write about the Settings section on the main page of HiveVote. In the settings section, you can set stopping automatic upvote after which percentage HIVE Power drops below. If your account's HIVE Power drops below the percentage you set, whether it is Fan Base or Curation Trail, your account will no longer automatically upvote.
