Ahoy! I haven’t talked about one of my favorite discord tipbots in a while: tip.cc. A lot has happened since the last article, where I review the bot. Some of the news are new currencies added and new functions to keep your audience engaged or having fun in your community.

• New types of drops: You can now perform mathdrops, phrasedrops, and musicdrops!

🧮Mathdrops

Perform a math trivia, using everything from basic operations to expressions present in programming.

To perform a mathdrop it is necessary to use the following command: $mathdrop <amount> [duration] “expression” such as $mathdrop $2 20s “4 + 2 * 8”. You can also limit the number of users who can answer the question, using “for [max entries]” such as:

$mathdrop $1 for 30 minutes for 10 users “15 + 15”

📝Phrasedrops (only supports letters)

Type a word or phrase. Other people will have to type it in (without copying and pasting).

To perform a phrase drop it is necessary to use the following command: $phrasedrop <amount> for [duration] for [max entries] “<phrase>” such as: $phrasedrop 1 $ for 30 minutes for 7 users “tip cc is a cool tipbot” . You can also let any amount of users type the phrase drop, as in the example:

$phrasedrop $1 20s “oknu is cool”

🎵Musicdrops

Who doesn’t like music, right? How about engaging your community members through musical trivia. Connect to a voice channel on your discord server and use the commands below and try to guess the song the bot is playing. (Randomly plays one from a catalog of over 200 songs)

To make a musicdrops you need to use the following command: $musicdrop <amount> for [duration] for [max entries] such as: $musicdrop $ 1 for 30 minutes for 7 users. You can also let any amount of users try to correctly guess the song as in the following example:

$musicdrop $2 10

• New coins added by suggestions from the community: The tip cc community suggested these coins and they were respectively added to the tipbot because they were the most voted. Among them are Nimiq (NIM), Reddcoin (RDD), Wownero (WOW), Ethereum Classic (ETC), Chainlink (LINK), Horizen (ZEN), Spectrecoin (XSPEC), Electroneum (ETN), Telos (TLOS), Tezos (XTZ), Binance Coin (BNB), ChallengeDAC (CHL), Tether Gold (XAUT), Synth USD (sUSD), Bitcoin SV (BSV), Nano (NANO) e Banano (BAN)!
• Of these new currencies, BANANO and Nimiq faucets are available until the time of publication of this article.

• If you are a trader, you can like the price information provided by tip.cc now, using the $ ticker command, displaying a currency price chart. In addition to this, it also has the command $ uniswap to see data from uniswap and $ roll to see information about social tokens.

💫Extras

Be careful when showing your balance on a public channel, which is not intended for bot commands on any server, as scammers can send you a message in private trying to trick you and steal your money. Fortunately, you can delete the message from the $ bals command by clicking the X emoji.

The escrow function is still being tested and can be performed with “worthless” coins.
