Oh, back pain, you uninvited guest, You've overstayed your welcome, it's time to rest.

You arrived like a thief in the night, And now my spine feels like a battle to fight.

Bending over to pick up a pen, Feels like I'm lifting a boulder again.

Sitting down or standing up is a test, As my back pain reminds me it's the best.

I try to stretch and move around, Hoping that some relief can be found.

But alas, it seems like nothing can heal, This annoying pain that makes me squeal.

I blame it on my old age, I guess, Or maybe I need a new mattress.

But really, I know the truth is clear, I should've listened to my mother's fear.

"Stand up straight, don't slouch, my dear," She would say, and now I fear,

That she was right all along, And my back pain is just my own wrong.

So now I'll take a break and rest, And try to treat my back pain as a guest.

Maybe with some ice and heat, I can make it feel a little more neat.

But for now, I'll sit and whine, As my back pain reminds me it's not fine.

Oh, back pain, you funny foe, I'll try to laugh, instead of woe.
