I grasp at straws and reach for hope, But still, I find myself unable to cope.

Acceptance, they say, is the key, To find some peace and set me free.

But how to accept what I cannot change? It feels so foreign and so strange.

I want to fight, to rail and rage, Against this thing that's caused my cage.

But deep within, I know it's true, Acceptance is what I must pursue.

So I'll take a breath, and let it in, This unwelcome thing that feels like sin.

I'll try to see it in a different light, And hope that soon, my heart takes flight.
