Hi everyone! A quick update for you Vault Staking fans before we get into the airdrop information. Vault Staking is now a 0% commission validator on Matic!! This means, every fraction of a Matic you earn by staking is yours to keep! We can afford to reward our loyal delegators since we received a grant from AWS for our hosting to minimize costs. If you haven't already, go read more in our last update. We've also added 3 new delegators to our ranks, which is quite exciting! So, before you do anything else, go head on over to the Vault Staking delegation page, and delegate those Matic!
Persistance XPRT "StakeDrop"
Persistence is an interoperable protocol built to facilitate the creation of next-gen financial products powered by blockchain. They are using the features of DeFi and utilizing NFTs to tokenize real-world assets to solve the current problems of traditional finance. To start seeding their token XPRT, they are running a series of airdrops to token holders on a variety of PoS chains, to include Matic, Cosmos, Kava, Terra, IRISnet, Polkadot, and Tezos. XPRT will carry a variety of use cases within the Persistence ecosystem, including participating in staking to contribute to network security, and community governance of the Persistence mainchain.
Delegators of Matic can sign up for the latest Matic StakeDrop, sign a magic transaction to prove they own the address, and they will receive XPRT during the 45 day campaign that starts on January 20. They even have a step-by-step tutorial on how to stake with Matic and sign a magic transaction. Delegators can earn a maximum of 5,000 XPRT, which at the latest valuation can be up to $1,250!
GHST Token Liquidity Mining
Aavegotchi is a DeFi-enabled crypto collectibles game based on Tamagotchi. You can find out more information here, but generally it is a gamification of lending and staking on the Aave platform. The team at Aavegotchi is running a Liquidity Incentives program of their native token GHST to bring liquidity to the Matic Network. Starting January 29th and lasting 2 weeks, over $100,000 in rewards is being offered for various staking offers through the QuickSwap DEX on Matic. The steps are pretty simple:
- First, buy, then migrate your GHST tokens from Ethereum Mainnet to the Matic Network.
- Get some QUICK token from Quickswap.
- Become a liquidity provider in the GHST-QUICK Pool on Quickswap.
- Take your LP tokens received from Step 3 and stake them into the GHST-QUICK Staking Pool to get stkGHST.
- Finally, take the stkGHST receipt tokens emitted from the GHST Staking Contract and stake them into the Quickswap Rewards pool at https://quickswap.exchange/#/quick.
70,000 USD worth of GHST+MATIC will be distributed proportionally to stakers in the GHST-QUICK Staking Pool, while the other 30,000 USD will be distributed proportionally to those just staking GHST.
Matic Staking
If you haven't heard yet, Matic stakers receive 28.68% APY on the matic they delegate. That's unheard of when you compare to other big chains like Tezos (5.3%), Polkadot (13.8%), Cardano (4.3%), or even Ethereum 2.0 (10.5%). The Matic token is also a great investment, having doubled its price and market cap since the beginning of the year. It currently sits at #108 according to CoinGecko. If you're running low on Matic, check out 1 Inch and swap for some Matic, then delegate to Vault Staking!
