Rainbow watercolour mushrooms created by AI

After a long break, trying to recover my strength, I am sharing a set of pictures generated by the AI in starryai. I was struggling a lot to the point where I had to slow down with every aspect of life. Time will tell whether the worst is truly gone or is it lurking behind the corner to take over me again.

I wanted to see some colourful, dreamy images, and after testing out different styles and options in the app, I came to a nice combination.

I tried over and over again, and even though the pictures turned out fairly similar to each other, it was really tough to choose only 2-3 of them.

I like this family of mushrooms - somehow really cute, like straight from a fairytale.

In the next one, we have a bunch of small mushrooms with thin stalks. Mushrooms with this shape are so slender and elegant that I can never walk past them without taking a photo. Sometimes I disturb them by tapping the cap and watching them wiggle. But I'm always careful not to damage them.

These next ones might actually be my favourite or second favourite of the series. I like the composition and the colour choice. There is good contrast between the dark inky background and the bright copper-coloured caps.

The next ones look fairly ordinary but again, there is something pleasing about how the AI arranged the image and the colours it chose.

The next one is quite interesting - it looks as if there are stars around the giant mushroom, a bit like a nebula in the background.

This actually got me wondering that, as far as I am aware, there is no Mushroom nebula in the night sky. Astronomical objects can have all kinds of weird names, e.g., the Lemon slice nebula or the Dandelion Puffball Nebula, but fungi have been ignored for some reason. Check out the pictures in the Wikipedia articles I have linked to, the nebulae are very pretty.

Occasionally, the AI slips up, too. Two stalks, one cap.
