Who could imagine that just couple of years after Satoshi Nakamoto presented the most popular and valuable digital asset to the world it could go viral and particularly in Africa become mainstream on WhatsApp investment groups. BTC investments in Africa are the promise and most participated online businesses are using BTC to fund it.
I clearly see more activity on the WhatsApp groups that I joined, than in other applications, Telegram isn't that famous in most African Countries and Whatsapp, the most popular messenger app owned by Facebook is leading the transactions in BTC!
The transactions are more flexible and with specific rules for each "crypto exchange WhatsApp group" being ways of payment the electronic cash and M-pesa being the famous among others!
It's funny that most of the people in Africa that deal with crypto in WhatsApp sell and buy BTC groups, they don't deal with other crypto asset than the "king" BTC. I remember my first transaction that I wanted to sell ETH, someone "just told that Ethereum was as SCAM"... Yes, they called the second most valued asset in CMC a fraud coin, hehehehe!
That took me by surprise, but, because I was coming from a different market where I was able to deal with Crypto exchange and Localbitcoins, a fellow group user, in DM explained to me "and was in that section where I come to knew that, most fellow Africans don't use other crypto asset than BTC, others even don't know... Only BTC!
Meaning if you have other asset, better get it swapped them you can sell, or you will not be able to sell in the WhatsApp groups!
That may sounds strange but it isn't at all, as we know the BTC has been taken to the continent by "dubious" crypto business, some Legit or other not much, that promise a lot in Investment in ROI and that "desire to earn big, are taking young Africans to run thru those schemes", I know that isn't a good way to profit but it's why people get known BTC, as a way to get profit from "quick" investments, that took most to lose their money in pyramid and fraudulent schemes!
Well the fever is there, but the people isn't using it the way we suppose, but something notable to learn is that more and more Africans are adopting the BTC... If that is the good way to invest on or not that is another story!!
