One analyst highlighted that when factoring in inflation, Bitcoin’s all-time high (ATH) in 2021 would equate to a new ATH of $83,000 in 2024.

Bitcoin (BTC), the world’s leading cryptocurrency, reached a significant milestone earlier this year after the approval of spot Bitcoin ETFs, soaring to $73,500 in March in anticipation of the upcoming halving event.
Following this record high, Bitcoin experienced a downturn, dropping below $50,000 during a sharp market correction in August.
Nevertheless, Bitcoin recovered, stabilizing between $57,000 and $60,000 throughout September, staying above $60,000 after the U.S. Federal Reserve (FED) reduced interest rates.
Even if Bitcoin achieves its long-term goal of hitting $100,000, its real value might not align with previous cycles' expectations.
Analyst Luke Broyles speculated that while Bitcoin could reach a new ATH of $100,000, it may not hold the same impact as anticipated.
Drawing a comparison to Bitcoin’s 2021 ATH of $69,000, he observed that once inflation is taken into account, this new ATH would actually be around $83,000 in today’s terms.
Broyles pointed out that the $69,000 peak in 2021 is effectively equivalent to $83,000 now, adding:
“Even if Bitcoin reaches $100,000 by 2025, inflation is likely to rise over the next 6 to 18 months due to ongoing monetary expansion, which would make the BTC price in 2025 similar to its 2021 level.”
“This highlights the stark difference between nominal and real prices.”
“What seems like $100,000 in 2025 could realistically only be comparable to $69,000 in 2021.”
