The Unibright CTO Stefan Schmidt posts regular updates in the Unibright telegram to keep the community informed. Here is the latest update!
28th of September 2020 - SAP, Integrated Custody Solutions, Provide Integration, Baseline Proxy, PoC updates

Dear Community,
we are buidling on different levels behind the scenes to make our Baseline projects (Fraunhofer, CONA, Between and others) happen, mainly with 3 distributed Teams:
1) Unibright/Provide Team working on integrating the Unibright Stack with the Provide Stack, implementing the Baseline Protocol
2) Unibright Framework Team working on the Baseline Proxy and the Unibright Connector
3) Unibright SAP Team working on the ERP side of things towards the Unibright Connector
Some general learnings from our ongoing PoCs (the publicly announced and additional ones):
1) Amount of "old-school" integration work vs baselining: Learning: Even with something like Baseline, a big amount in projects is "old-school" integration, something we are very good at given our 20 year integration experience.
2) The tendency of enterprises to ask for a USD per transaction price and their unwillingness to deal with tokens, Gas costs and custody. That's why we need clever, automated token models and integrated custody solutions. More news soon...
3) The importance of staying in the UX domain of the process, thus enabling logging and analytics for example on SAP level by using standards defined on protocol level. We will showcase this with our CONA and Fraunhofer projects.
4) The potential of Baseline Stacks exchanging messages via NATS without baselining them, to orchestrate more complex workflows with aggregated, intermediate steps to be baselined. This is important in regards to the discussion around ETH vs ETH2, scalability and layer 2 solutions.
In last week's Baseline office hours, we addressed some of these learnings and how we tackle it at Unibright (also together with Provide):
More specific (and more official) news, as soon as they are 100% safe to be published. We are 100% in time for our goals in Q4 and to move towards a productive Baseline as a Service offering in 2021. UBT MANDATORY!
Have a unibright week,
Stefan
