Impressions after a few weeks of Noise.Cash use.

It has been almost three weeks now that I am using noise.cash daily. For those who don’t know noise.cash is a micro blogging platform like twitter. Post and answers can earn bitcoin cash from other users, called tips. To make thing even better, the noise.cash platform itself gives a bit of bitcoin cash to every users tipping jar. This amount is not directly withdrawable but can be used to tip other users. When tipping another user, one has the option to keep between 20% to 80% for oneself and give the rest to a post or answer. I most often keep the minimum to myself, 20%, as I think it is good to reward interesting content as much as possible.

Tipping is fun!

Of course a platform the gives ‘free money’, even if it is a few cents per day, is bound to attract its fair share of spamers. Noise cash initially offered two tabs, two modes of seeing the platform in a way. The first one is subscriptions. There I can see content form the users I have chosen to follow. The other mode to explore noise.cash is the ‘explore’ option. In the explore mode one see all posts in a live timeline. There is A LOT spam. Content of that short varies from random ‘life quotes’ to religious quotes and other random, often nonsensical stuff.

Luckily if one sticks to the subscribers tab, then this mess can be avoided. Also, lately noise.cash has been taking measures to reduce spamming. The user can in addition block users, or even report them.

Noise.cash seems to have a well planned timeline for rolling out updates and new features. The latest installment is the addition of chambers, that is thematic clusters, in the likeness of reddits subs. This is a new feature, so there is still some bolts to tighten. One thing is for example that chambers appear in local language of the user, rather than being common chambers for everyone. Of course via the search option one can find popular chambers like Cryptocurrency, Bitcoin etc. What is interesting is that if one chamber does not exist yet, the platform asks you if you want to create it! Cool! Although it has to be noted that such an option does not give mod/admin right to the user that created the chamber.

All andall I’d say give noise.cash a try. If you already are on Read.Cash, Publish0x, Leofinance etc you will probably find users you like at noise.cash.

You can find me there as well, obviously @seaticket

Have a good day!
