Algorand is superior to Ethereum in almost every aspect except for adoption. I personally dont have much faith in the Ethereum team. Ethereum 2.0 sounds promising but it is continuing to drag on and on. The fact that they messed up initial implementation which required hard forking says it all. Algorand is ready to hit the ground running right now. Their technology is superior. But, the best tech does not always win. It appears to me that Ethereums biggest advantage is name recognition. So lets assume Ethereum 2.0 isnt garbage and actually gets delivered, what happens for the competition like Algorand? I personally think that ALGO will be much more attractive to major establishments like banks, however there is much to be said for name recognition and existing adoption. So long term what is the case for Algo over Ethereum assuming ETH successfully transitions to Pos?
Truth is is no one knows. Speculation tells me mass adoption for many altcoins will come when the 💵 finally fails. Its been past its point of surviving inflation. Were already there in my opinion, just smoke and mirrors at this point. Blockchain and AI are the future and many people living in the now just arent ready to accept that. Right now ETH depends on that update to survive. Transaction fees make it overvalued, so Algorand will clearly be the better option but right now we are the 1% that believe in algo(crypto in general). We will see the potential come to life when people investing in crypto are more educated and in mass. So many people buy coins simply because of the price tag and charts, they pay no mind to learning the fundamentals. When that changes crypto will hit its golden age, especially ALGO.
