Hey guys, can't sleep so I decided to try something different tonight. Instead of my typical articles I wanted to try writing some poetry, specifically haikus. For those of you that may not know a haiku is a Japanese poem of seventeen syllables, in three lines of five, seven, and five. Haiku's were best used for evoking images of the natural world as well as emotions. The first Haiku I created tonight was written to express the emotion of complacency.
Sitting still at ease
Content in my comfort zone
Days blend into one
My second haiku was written with hopes of expressing a love for solitude.
Silent Solitude
A peaceful escape from life
My heart finds solace
My third haiku was written in hopes of evoking imagery of of a peaceful day at the lake.
Crystal Clear Water
Ripples gently in the breeze
Lakes beauty serene
A little out of my comfort zone but I had fun writing these. Anyways, I'm going to try and sleep again 😅 GN ✌️
