Transformers: War for Cybertron - A meh watch

War for Cybertron is an animated trilogy produced by Netflix that I binged yesterday.

It's comprised of three chapters, with each chapter being 6 episodes, each about 20 minutes long. So, essentially it's three movies. The first two chapters are available for watching, and the last one hasn't been produced yet but it is supposed to come out in the near future.

Anyways, as the name suggests, the series is about the war between the Autobots and the decepticons and how they landed on planet Earth.

I don't know if the plot is supposed to be canon or not but I enjoyed it a lot. There was plenty of the mythology explored and lots of character development. Some fight scenes were a bit stupid (e.g. the first time the Autobots are ambushed) and made no sense. Thank God their plot armor was super strong!

The main thing that I hated was the animation of the transformers themselves. The rest was not bad actually. Honestly, the robots looked very retarted and painful to my eyes at first, and it took me quite a few episodes to get used to it.

As a sidenote, netflix has some other transformers series, where the animation is even shittier! Why is it so hard to just keep the old 80s cartoon style that everyone loves?

Another great disappointment is the lack of at least one memorable epic fight. Not even one.

Optimus prime also lacked cullens voice. And also he used his awesome laser axe for just a very short, non memorable scene :(

Overall, it was a somewhat good watch and if you are a fun of transformers I think you will enjoy it. I could easily give it a 7 maybe even an 8 but because the animation sucked balls I'll give it a 5. Meh.
