Another pleasant surprise by Netflix!

Looks like Netflix is getting its shit together lately! If your read my movie/series reviews then you know that the past couple months have been just one pleasant surprise after the other!

Today I started Kaleidoscope, an American heist drama television miniseries created by Eric Garcia.

The eight-part series centers around master thief Leo Pap (Giancarlo Esposito) and his crew attempting an epic heist worth $7 billion, but betrayal, greed and other threats undermine their plans. source

The series comes in 8 episodes that can be watched in any order. Each episode has its own color (yellow, green, etc) with white being supposedly the big finale. Supposedly, watching them in a different order will create different levels of mystery, feelings etc etc. Or at least that's one of the big selling points of the series.

According to the creators, due to the nonlinear storytelling structure, the show can be watched in any order with only one rule: that the episode "White" has to be watched last, as the season finale. source

To me that feels like more like a marketing gimmick but who knows. I am just going with the order they are on Netflix. I am currently on episode 3 and I really enjoy what I am seeing and that's all that matters. Probably will binge watch the rest on the weekend.

Here are the eps in chronological order if you prefer to watch them that way:

Violet - 24 years before the heist.

Green - 7 years before the heist.

Yellow - 6 weeks before the heist.

Orange - 3 weeks before the heist.

Blue - 5 days before the heist.

White - The heist.

Red - The morning after the heist.

Pink - 6 months after the heist.

As is, I'll give the show a 7/10, and do a follow up post when I am over with it!
