Behavior and upbringing are determined solely by parents' DNA? Not at all!

For all those who have children or live with children, there comes a point where you think: wow, why is this child like this? They really look like their parents, all coming only from genes, from their DNA history, but wait a minute! Is it really true that our parents' DNA defines everything we are? That way, we never evolve or change, and I honestly don't believe that. To me, it's an excuse for lazy people who can't raise their children or show them the true path they should follow.

Behaviors can be learned or improved, that's what I have to say. After all, children mirror their parents, what they see. Education is about example, so the question you always have to ask is: what example are you setting for your children? And your children? We know this is very important in their development, especially in their first years of life. Even if parents are educated, rich, glamorous, it's normal to see their children do wrong things, so how come the parents' DNA doesn't work in these cases? Because it really doesn't!

They learned from someone; the bad example can come from parents, friends, television, the series they watch secretly from you—all of this influences them. So, even if we deny that children are an example simply because they are our children, that doesn't mean anything if you don't care for them, participate in their lives, and try to understand the points of everything that happens in their lives. They're children who don't know what's right and wrong, so anyone who comes along and says that wrong is right will be in trouble; they'll grow up believing that's exactly what it is!

I've also seen the opposite a lot, where the parents are bad people or have a not-so-good financial situation, and their child becomes a millionaire. Then you think: wow, with such struggling parents, how did he get rich? People think that children will be exactly like their parents in everything, but that's not how it works. Each person is different; they think for themselves from a certain point onward, combining everything they've learned from their parents, friends, school, and life. All of this adds up and changes their way of thinking and living life.

There's no magic formula for raising a child. Many things can happen, but what will define them in the future is the sum of everything. The result will be everything they've lived through: their experiences, their life, the people around them, the opportunities they've had and those they've missed. I believe all of this shapes a growing child, which is why example is so important. The examples that a child has within their reach will make all the difference in their life, overriding any other origin, regardless of who the parents are, if all the child sees is the negative side of things.

Therefore, I think we should always try to show this to children, teach them that not everything is rosy, but even so, we shouldn't go down the wrong path, such as stealing, killing, or deceiving people. Life will throw many curveballs at us, but I prefer to believe that we can go far by being honest and doing our job correctly. Example, education, affection, and love are the best teachers to educate children and young people. Therefore, I don't think that DNA, who your father or mother is, will define you for the rest of your life. At some point, things change, and you continue following your own convictions!
