My name is Trevor, and today I wanted to share some insane video game news with you that just came out recently!
If you don't play Video Games but are still into Cryptocurrency, you might want to pay close attention to this one.
Now, of course, this information is still just speculation.
However!
The information comes from an infamous and very highly accurate leaker via Twitter.
This leaker has shared with us the fact that the makers of Grand Theft Auto are serious about adding Bitcoin-like rewards to their next release.
If you're wondering what that means, the answer is...
YES!
Rockstar Games is going to try to add actual cryptocurrency to GTA 6 when it eventually comes out.
One of the most infamous video games ever will now have play-to-earn cryptocurrency.
This leaker on Twitter claims that they will not just be adding one Crypto either!
It will apparently be Bitcoin and Bitcoin-like cryptocurrencies that will most likely be awarded during higher level Story Missions.
Knowing a thing or two about GTA we can probably guess it will be for a mission that requires us to transfer money secretly to ourselves after completing some crazy series of shenanigans.
In the current game, GTA V aimed to launch a working Stock Trading feature to mimic Wall St. sharks.
While it worked well for the Campaign side of things, the online version of Stock Trading was doomed from the beginning.
After tinkering around with Stock Trading in GTA V for a few months eventually they had to pull it because it was beyond broken.
Hopefully, (and sort of ironically) this time around with GTA VI they will be able to use blockchain solutions to sort out those issues.
Which would be pretty sweet right?
Rockstar has already dabbled in and released this feature of their game in GTA V which further solidifies this leak in my opinion!
They attempted a smaller version with Stock Trading so why wouldn't they try something like that again?
Being the Rockstars that they are they tend to shoot way beyond expectations making them one of the best game developers out there.
If anyone can make Cryptocurrency mainstream for Video Games it will be this game through this feature.
But only if they can succeed at it and learn from the Stock Trading mistakes they made last time!
Luckily for us, time is on our side with this one.
According to rumors GTA 6 will have a release date of late 2022 or early 2023
They have already been working on this game for over a decade too.
Sadly though, like with most huge video game releases.
A more realistic release date for GTA 6 would probably be Summer or Fall of 2024!
So while it may suck eggs the new GTA with Cryptocurrency is at least 2 or 3 years away.
This at least gives Rockstar and Cryptocurrency some time to become best buds forever ♥
Now that we have a little bit of insight into this awesome news, it gives our brains some room to think about some things.
Such as, what Cryptocurrencies could Rockstar add to GTA?
Will GTA 6 have NFT's?
Will the new GTA connect to our Wallets?
How will it be play-to-earn?
Will we be able to trade and swap through GTA?
Will GTA still have a Casino?
What about modders and criminals messing with the in-game economy?
Or the real question on everyone's mind when this news came out.
DOES THIS MEAN THE NEW GTA WILL HAVE DOGECOIN???
I'm not a psychic or anything but I can take a stab at these questions from experience if you're interested in taking the journey with me!
I personally believe that all of this means we will definitely have multiple cryptocurrencies useable within GTA.
I also think it would be kind of ridiculous if Rockstar left out adding something like Dogecoin as one of the options.
At the very least they would have to do something similar like Shiba Inu or develop one of their own spinoff ICO's.
Could that mean we see an Elon Musk-type character in the game similar to how we saw Zuckerberg-type character in the last game?
Magic 8-ball says, "All Signs Point to Most Likely"
What other coins would there be though?
If it had to be anything but Bitcoin the obvious runner-up would have to be Ethereum or another Smart Contract crypto such as Enjin or Matic.
We could also have our entire minds blown with this one so keep your eyes and ears peeled!
How crazy would it be if Rockstar teamed up with ATARI who already has its own crypto?
I might be dreaming with the ATARI but in any case, whatever they end up doing would still achieve the same things.
As for NFT's?
There is no way in hell they won't have some type of NFT something.
In fact, I'm willing to bet this is more likely to happen over the possibility of the game having play-to-earn GTA crypto.
Spoiler alert!
This is a wild guess, however, with how things have been going.
Rockstar will probably sell a Special Edition of the game bundled with your very own unique NFT to claim.
Not really a spoiler but if you like to plan ahead this might be a good thing to keep in mind when saving up to play it on release day.
On top of that too we also must consider the fact that these games now are all becoming free.
Places switch to pre-order bundles, events, marketplaces, and subscriptions to make a majority of their earnings now.
They have likely figured out a better way to monetize and fund all the crazy things they do over there at Rockstar!
Back when the previous GTA releases came out they didn't quite have so many tools at their disposal.
Video Game companies have found out how to make more money off of digital downloads and digital content.
All of this sounds great and I'm sure it will be!
There will be a trade-off here though with this one.
Enjoy the freedoms had in the current GTA while you still can!
Certain things will 100% go away.
No longer will someone be able to kindly spam bags of money onto your GTA character.
When Rockstar comes out to say GTA will be free-to-play-to-earn.
They will mean it!
The grind will be real with the manipulation of an in-game economy at the hands of Rockstar.
Who will then also be at the hands of Crypto Gods.
Modders will still probably have a field day messing with stuff that doesn't get them banned.
But good luck trying to do anything money-related!
The tightening down of game exploits will make things like customizing your character more difficult to achieve.
Unless....
Maybe you have some spare change or spare CRYPTO laying around to get what your in-game heart desires?
Pay-to-play and play-to-earn mixed with a Marketplace of different things to acquire for GTA 6 is going to make Rockstar A LOT of money.
One last thing to leave with before I wrap up today's article!
The timing of this.
We are powering out the end of a Bull Market more than likely by the end of this year.
The Bear Market for Crypto will 100% be confirmed at some point in 2022 next year.
This Bear Market downtrend in the crypto markets will take about 2 years to stable out before we begin to form the next huge Bull Market.
By 2024 we will have yet another Bitcoin halving completed...
Now think about when GTA 6 will most likely release being realistic about the date here.
GTA 6 will get the usual pushbacks to help polish the game up and build hype.
There is no way in hell we are seeing a GTA 6 next year.
There is a slight possibility they release it the year after that in 2023.
So if we were to same GTA gets released in 2023 by some miracle.
It would be leading up to the Bitcoin halving shutting out the end of the next Bear Market.
Let's say it gets pushed back to 2024 as we said much earlier.
It would, of course, still be after a bear market towards the beginning of a new Bull Market.
This sort of gives some interesting foreshadow!
Leaking this information about Crypto and GTA also might solidify 2 more things.
1. The release date for GTA V
(most likely end of 2024)
2. The date hyperbitcoinization begins
