Tired of many hours of wandering around the temples of Myanmar, we reached the next one. Another temple on our Myanmar tour is Maha Aung Mye Bom San, also known as Me Nu Oak. It is called a brick monastery because it was designed as a brick replica of wooden monasteries typical of this era.

Zmęczeni już wielogodzinną tułaczką po świątyniach Myanmar, dotarliśmy do następnej. Kolejna ze świątyń na naszej trasie po Myanmar to Maha Aung Mye Bom San, znana również jako Me Nu Oak. Mówi się na nią ceglany klasztor, gdyż został zaprojektowany jako ceglana replika drewnianych klasztorów z typowych dla tej epoki.

Unfortunately, the exact date is unknown and it is assumed that it was built in 1818 or 1822, and renovated in 1873. This monastery is an example of great architecture in Myanmar in the 19th century. Currently, it is in quite good technical condition and theoretically it would be suitable for living.

Dokładna data niestety nie jest znana i przyjmuje się dwie, że powstał w 1818 lub w 1822 roku, a odremontowany został w 1873 roku. Klasztor ten jest przykładem wspaniałej architektury w Myanmar w XIX wieku. Obecnie jest w całkiem dobrym stanie technicznym i teoretycznie nadawał by się do zamieszkania.

Of course, like many beautiful buildings in Myanmar, this monument was not spared by the 1839 earthquake and seriously damaged, but it was restored and made available to tourists.

Oczywiście jak wiele pięknych budowli w Myanmar i ten zabytek nie został oszczędzony przez trzęsienie ziemi 1839 roku i poważnie uszkodzony, jednak odrestaurowany został udostępniony turystom.

The whole complex consists of two main parts. From the east, it is a high temple finished with piatat, and a rectangular building with two rooms and a series of corridors. The whole building is beautifully decorated, and the entrances with brick stairs on all sides are amazing.

Cały kompleks składa się z dwóch głównych części. Od wschodu jest to wysoka świątynia wykończona piatatem, oraz prostokątnej budowli z dwoma pomieszczeniami, szeregiem korytarzy. Całość budowli jest pięknie zdobiona, a wejścia murowanymi schodami ze wszystkich stron są niesamowite.
