Today's episode is a short story of our journey from Siem Reap to Battambang. A walk around the city and our new place, which we rented for little money for the next days of traveling around Cambodia. The next episodes will feature the famous "BambooTrain" draisine and bat caves.

After several days of staying in the Cambodian town of Siem Reap, which is an excellent starting point for exploring the famous Angkor Wat temple complex, we decided to move to another town on our travel map, namely Battambang.
Po kilkunastu dniach pobytu w kambodżańskim miasteczku Siem Reap, które stanowi doskonałą bazę wypadową do zwiedzania słynnego kompleksu świątyń Angkor Wat postanowiliśmy przenieść się do kolejnej miejscowości na naszej podróżniczej mapie, a mianowicie do Battambang.
It is quite a large city by Cambodian standards, because over 140,000 people live there and it is the third largest city in Cambodia. The city itself differs significantly from the capital and from Siem Reap, it smells more of the countryside than the city. Nevertheless, it is worth visiting for the feeling of this specific climate.
To dość duże miasto jak na warunki Kambodży, bo mieszka tam ponad 140 tysięcy ludzi i jest trzecie co do wielkości miasto w Kambodży. Samo miasto różni się znacznie od stolicy i od Siem Reap, ono już bardziej zalatuje wsią niż miastem. Niemniej warte jest odwiedzenia dla poczucia tego specyficznego klimatu.
In Battambang, there are only things to see. The first attraction is the famous draisine "Bamboo Train", which can be driven 25 kilometers through the wasteland and desert of Cambodia. I definitely recommend this attraction. The second attraction is Bats. Hundreds of thousands of small bats fly out of the caves at a certain time, always around 5 pm, in search of food. Amazing phenomenon.
W Battambang do zwiedzenia są w zsadzi tylko w rzeczy. Pierwszą atrakcją jest słynna drezyna "Bamboo Train", którą można jechać 25 kilometrów przez pustkowia i pustynię Kambodży. Tę atrakcję zdecydowanie polecam. Drugą atrakcją są Nietoperze. Z jaskiń o określonej porze, zawsze około 17 wylatuje setki tysięcy małych nietoperzy w poszukiwaniu pożywienia. Zjawisko niesamowite.
