This was very surprising to me why Brave chose Binance as their first exchange integration to Brave browser especially Binance and Binance.US (for US-based users) are little different and I am not sure why Brave couldn't find a partner with US based exchange. Coinbase and Kraken are practically right next to Brave.
Hopefully other exchanges are going to join the browser after this?
Are they thinking about integrating different assets like BTC or ETH so this "widget" will become a better crypto wallet for Brave and we won't need uphold anymore? 🤷
Why in a new tab?
I think this is something to do with Sponsored Images?
I don't think many people actually spend time to see sponsored images when they open a new tab, but with this widget integration, users are going to spend more time in the new tab and see the image so this become win-win for a lot of users, Brave, Binance, and sponsors.
This is a very clever strategy for Brave 🙂
