Some people are still having payout issues because...
You have more than 3 browser instances connected to Uphold 😨
1. My first Brave installation was on my old computer which went to crypto heaven couple months ago.
2. My second Brave installation was on my ThinkPad laptop that I bought last year. He came from China which was a very difficult and complicated birth and it took 4 month to deliver. But the brand new laptop quit working after few weeks so I sent him back to China.
3. Shortly after, I got his brother ThinkPad (this machine) from Texas and installed Brave on it so it's 3 times already.
I also installed Brave Nightly on this machine and I use Brave on mobile... so I have at least 5 Brave browser instances (all verified wallet) connected to Uphold. So I am kind of screwed at this point because you can only have 3 lifetime connections from different devices.
Am I still getting Brave rewards from all browsers?
It seems like I am still getting BAT from Brave and Brave Nightly.
Mobile Brave seems to be working too even though I can't take BAT from it... (is this wallet actually connected to uphold? idk...)
I am not exactly sure what is going on but it seems like these are my 3 connections.
If this machine gets homesick and decides to go back to Texas, I am done. I won't get any more rewards from Brave even if I installed it on another machine.
3 lifetime connections includes active/inactive connections. If your computer is dead, you drop your phone in the toilet or whatever... dead inactive connections still count... (it seems like... what happened to my dead connections 🤔)
Well..., that is not good
I need to know how many browser instances are still connected from what devices and stuff. And if they are dead connections, I need to remove them.
Asked @BraveSampson for the rescue... he is the head of brave dev.
In short,
- 3 connection is real
- there is no way to check your instances / connections
- there is no way to remove connections
for now...
So don't go too crazy nuts about Brave and install it on every single available machines since you won't get nothing after 3rd connection.
