Social-fi has become a trending new narratives in web3. And a lot has come up and gone down with this new trend.

The new rise of social-fi led to the established of a new of a new wave of engagement farming on Twitter. 

Tip coin and Ratio are two of the new social fi projects that have been trending on Twitter.

These projects aim to reward users who earn points by tweeting, mentioning and replying $tip or $Ratio to posts.

The more engagements a user generate, the more points he ends in a particular epoch that is running in that period. These points are converted the projects token (tip or ratio)

Ratio is uses a social analytics tools that measures the quality of a user's tweet by the amount of likes and replies ratio to it.

Both projects want their users to farm engagements on Twitter because it helps them to grow their community, increase their visibility, and create value for their tokens. By rewarding users for their social interactions, they hope to create a positive feedback loop that benefits both the users and the projects. 

But such engagement farming are tagged as bots in Twitter and most people who engage in such activities usually have their accounts banned by Elon Musk without warning.

Several people have gotten their accounts taken down, because they added "memecoin" to their display name or farm engagements for tipcoin or Ratio.

While it may look unfair that some people have their accounts taken down and others still have theirs, it is pertinent to note that such farming have their rules. 

Most people that saw their accounts taken down was because they commented the farming word ($Tipcoin or $Ratio) on posts that were not related to did not have the farming word mentioned in it.

Also excessive postings of the farming word by one user can be seen as spamming the Twitter algorithm. All accounts that participated in activities related to spamming or collaborated to spam Twitter with a particularly word either by posts, comments or added to display name are part of the accounts targeted in the banning spree.

When you critically examine it, you will see that farming engagements like these favour the few top accounts that can accumulate much of it by few tweets and these accounts are the influencer's accounts. So before you jump in and join them in farming, be sure you don't need much of the posts which will become spamming.
