Crypto scams for 2024

2024: an outlook to the most violent year of crypto scams

By Ticktalker | ticktalker'sblog | 28 Dec 2023

While reading through my social media news feed this morning I saw a pal whose wallet containing huge amount of money was exploited because he was trying to claim an NFT airdrop in his wallet.

Crypto scams have become more and more sophisticated in 2023, even though the total amount lost to these scams reduced this years, attackers are continually on the lookout for latest means to exploit users.

AI-powered phishing scams, BRC-20 exploits, and new smart contract vulnerabilities are among the biggest threats that crypto projects and investors will likely face in 2024, according to blockchain security firms.

AI has made it easier to make generate videos of someone doing something, and hackers have began exploiting this to make social engineering videos to fool people.

But in 2023, we saw that people where not the target of major hacks but rather it was big companies and 2024 will not be any different as these crypto thieves are perfecting their schemes.

Within 24 hours of BRC-20 launch, it was exploited with a double spend attacker, same thing that crypto was made to fight against.

Jesse Leclere, a blockchain analyst from CertiK, warned Cointelegraph that scams are only becoming more advanced and users should remain hyper-vigilant for well-executed exploits.

Phishing scams are one of the most prevalent ways attackers take control of wallets, it doesn't take up to an hour for these malicious actors to clone a website and deploy the same that the original site is doing.

Let's take for example, the NFP project that was to launch on Binance yesterday, the day it came out I saw two similar sites claiming they will airdrop the same NFP project but these are malicious actors.

Once you paste your address for such site, they send you a phishing token and once you click it, you can kiss the money in your wallet good bye.

If you’ve been receiving nfts in your wallet don’t tap it o

if you are trying to hide it too don’t do it just let it be

Don’t touch it don’t interact with it there is a new AI technology for draining wallets STAY SAFU. Someone's Wallet was drained overnight.
