Pause and think about that for a minute...
What value do you put on your time? What is it worth to you?
Is it based on how much you have left? Does it vary based on what you are doing at any particular moment?
I’ve been giving this a lot of thought recently, mainly with the motivation of making sure I am spending my time as wisely as possible and getting the maximum possible return on my time investment in all areas of my life.
And the truth is, it’s a hard question to answer...
So what is the true value of your time?
I think ultimately how you spend it dictates its worth.
So ask yourself... are you happy with the return you get from the time invested in your wor, in terms of happiness, fulfillment, and money?
Are you happy with the people you spend your time with? Are they contributing to your happiness, or detracting from it?
Are you happy with how you spend your “free” time each and every day?
Personally, I think taking an honest and reflective look at how you spend your time is the first step.
It’s something I’ve been doing for years, and something I encourage you guys to start doing also.
The reason I bring this up now is that I just finished creating a 3-year vivid vision for myself.
I broke down every main category in my life, and I got specific on where I want to see myself at 3 years down the line.
After doing that, I work backward on the vision and break it down into goals and actions that I need to do daily that will move me towards my vision.
At the start of each day, think about what your day looks like.
How are you going to get the most value out of each hour of your day?
At the end of each day, think about how your day played out.
Did your actions and how you spent your time reflect what you think it’s worth?
What can you do tomorrow to make sure you are achieving a higher return on your time investment in all areas of your life?
When you understand the value of time, you have the power to control it.
All we have to do is decide what to do with the time that is given to us. 🙏🏼
