To protest in the United States (I’m talking about a PEACEFUL protest) we must get permission from the government in the form of a permit. If we want to have a garage sale we must get a permit. If we want to burn safely in our back yard we have to ask permission. At least this one I can understand at some level because of the fire hazard. If you are a talented musician and want to perform in public you must get permission, even before COVID.
If you want to drive a car you must not only get permission but also pay for the "privilege" by getting a driver’s license. If you want to drive your car on the roads you must get permission and pay for this “privilege” with license fees. In some areas, you have to have it licensed if it can be seen from the street even if you don’t ever drive it.
And now with the tyrannical governors in many states, people aren’t allowed to have any gatherings. Even a gathering in someone’s home is forbidden in some states. Of course, the same people DEMANDING we can’t get together with family or friends for any other reason (even Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, etc.), go against their own rules and gather with as many as they want.
What got me started on this rant was when I saw that the SEC is suing LBRY for ”selling unregistered securities”. I have to wonder if this is JUST an attack on cryptocurrencies, or is it also an attack on the free speech they allow on their platform? But assuming it is only about the cryptocurrency, why does LBRY have to have “permission”?
I have to admit, I don’t know anything about securities and their regulations. But what I do know is that our government goes out of its way to make things difficult for anything that would help the average citizen.
And who in the h… is the SEC anyway? They are NOT elected officials. They are people appointed by those who are SUPPOSED to be watching out for us. The SEC leaders make up their own rules and if you don’t follow them they go after you.
Except for President Trump and a FEW others, when was the last time the elected officials did ANYTHING for us? They line their pockets and those close to them. I don’t care which party you are talking about. They are both corrupt. Again, there are a FEW very good politicians that do their best to help us, but it’s hard for them because they have so much opposition.
Government agencies have way too much power. If you don’t believe me, look at the IRS. They can have people arrested. People spend more years in prison for tax fraud than for murder. Does that sound rational or just to you?
After seeing the SEC lawsuit I was thinking about all the things that we have to “ask permission” for and have come to the conclusion that I have never lived in a truly free country. My whole life I have been fooling myself. Funny, I happened to be writing this on April Fool’s Day.
President Trump was working hard to take our country back from the criminals that have ruined it. They are supposed to be working FOR us, not against us! I'm not sure how with the existing corruption in politics, but we MUST have election integrity. We need President Trump to get the truth of the election fraud out and overturned so we can finish the job!
