This is excellent news if you are either a fan of things that are Bored Ape or Bored Ape adjacent. 

ApeCoin DAO votes to fund news site

The ApeCoin DAO has voted on and passed proposal AIP-70. This means they have now located $150,000 in funding for the news site The Bored Ape Gazette. These funds are planned to last around a year and will go towards reworking the site and hiring freelancers to write for it.

The proposal was put forth by the Gazette themselves. The site covers news about the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) NFTs as well as Mutant Apes (MAYC), Kennel Club (BAKC), and Otherside, Yuga Labs’ upcoming metaverse game. So if you are looking for any news related to those projects you are now in luck it seems.

The funds will go to paying for freelance writers as well. But they will also go to paying the $7,000 a month salary of the site's sole writer and editor Kyle Swenson. He will now be able to create more written content and put out a bi-weekly Bored Ape Gazette newsletter.

I guess a massive congratulations to Kyle is in order. $7,000 a month for doing some writing and mashing up 2 newsletters. Man, I wish I could get in on that Ape actions, then I would have a legit reason for going bananas. Instead of just slowly just going bananas.
