Theta EdgeCloud Updates
Apologies for the delay, self proclaimed Theta boi has been very busy with other projects. I will attempt to bring you up to speed today on three recent events which are Theta related.
Theta AI Agents - now supporting Rich Content Formats
Rich UI content formats include - Buttons, tables, and a few more structured formats. The goal is to enable support allow AI to pick the format for the user. You read that correctly, AI will pick the best format for you. Look for this to evolve to support complex workflows and the ability to interact with external data sources. Theta is evolving rapidly, do you agree?
AI advancements
Theta's GPU diversity is a huge strength for EdgeCloud which brings global scale and reach. Theta teams have been working hard to bring you the latest and greatest models which include Flux-Test-To-Image and Meta's LLama 3 8B LLM. All of are tuned for Inferencing and output parameters
TDROP is now fully accepted on EdgeCloud
TDROP payment examples include:
- API Calls
- AI modeling
- paying for GPU use
- and inference
Expect to see more from Theta in terms of TDROP releases this year. Additionally, Theta hinted TDROP staking will continue thru 2030 based on recent vote.
Theta roadmap
Rolling out a developer rebate program that provides a discount of 5–10% in TDROP for EdgeCloud usage,
building out a user reward programs tied to AI agent engagement and commerce activity,
All while completing groundwork for agent-to-agent transaction settlement as autonomous AI systems.
Summary
Theta's teams have been engineering work that doesn’t always make headlines but directly improves what EdgeCloud abilities now and in the future. TDROP being utilized for payments simplifies billing and payment offerings for EdgeCloud users of all sizes, increasing TDROP utility is a winner in my eyes. Wonder if Theta will be used by a Government for Universal Basic Income (UBI) once the machines run everything?
