ShapeShift Called out by the Senate & Thorchain Catching heat for North Korean Fund Laundering

This is not the first time ShapeShift's Erik Voorhees has been called out by the US Government for helping crypto funds move for parties that violate OFAC agreements. Such incidents date back years, for example: https://www.wsj.com/articles/how-dirty-money-disappears-into-the-black-hole-of-cryptocurrency-1538149743

With the spotlight clearly being on Erik Voorhees, Thorchains recent issues related to Thorswaps shut down as can be seen here:

In the same post, Erik Voorhees shows up, providing "insight" into Thorchain - further exemplifying/providing evidence that ShapeShift AG may very well be (still an active company today, the DAO actually does not exist [or not exist] legally due to that reality) an active participant in high level Thorchain/Rune activities:

With all of the above being stated, is ShapeShift in some sort of hot water due to its founder being overly trigger happy on risky business practices?

Furthermore, what comes next for Thorchain, Thorswap, and even ShapeShift with clear investigations taking place on decentralized entities and centralized entities that exist on the Thorchain side, Thorswap side, and Shapeshift side? Regulators/Federal agencies may be the only ones who will/can decide.
