How to play (and win!) at Crash on Nanogames

By TheBananonaut | TheBananonaut | 10 Mar 2021

One could say that Cryptocurrency was made for online gaming - its quite literally a match made in heaven! Over at nanogames.io, players are winning big and engaging with an awesome community playing the game Crash. While advertised as a Nano/Banano gaming site, in truth the site supports several other popular currencies. In this guide we’ll learn how to play and a couple strategies to employ - who knows, you may even ‘Catch a Cat’ one day and really see your stack pile up!

The core concept of Crash is that a list of 10 million hashes were generated to each represent a multiplier from 1x to upwards of a million (The highest I’ve seen is 8000x) Each round plays out the multiplier with an animation of a graph drawing that gets bigger and bigger as the multiplier grows. Players place their bets within 6 seconds of the round starting and tap out of the round whenever they choose. The idea is to tap out before the multiplier reaches its limit! That limit will be 1.0x, 1 out of every 101 rounds on average, effectively giving the house a 1% edge - and calculates to a 50/50 chance at being higher or lower than 1.98x. When the round goes above 100x, a cat unicorn surfing on a rainbow appears for the remainder (yes, I realize that sounds absurd haha) You can opt to tap out manually (which I find more fun) or set an ‘Auto Cash Out’ at a certain multiplier. If you want to know more about how the numbers are selected, check out this. What you need to know is that all numbers have been preselected (and as of this post we’re around number 2.7 million), so no cheating is going on by the house if they see a big bet, etc.

To play the game, you’ll first need an account. Head to nanogames.io and sign up. You’ll even get a free spin for a chance at some Nano! When you’re logged in, click on “Wallet” button at the top menu, or by clicking on your new Panda Avatar on the sidebar. Deposit your chosen crypto and we’re ready to play! Click on Crash if you navigated away from the home page. Lets take a look at what’s going on with the interface.

At the top bar you’ll see a list of the multipliers hit for the last few rounds, accompanied by a red or green circle indicating if it was below or above 1.98 respectively. You can see long term trends by clicking the slider and taking a peek at circles, organized in streaks of the same color.

You can choose which currency you want to play with on the combo box next to your Avatar and Wallet.

The center shows the current rounds multiplier - honestly quite mesmerizing after a while ;)

And below are the betting windows, with your bet, bet button, and autocash out window.

Tbh the interface is a little more straightforward than I thought.

One thing to note though, is the raindrop icon above the chat. Players can use that button to ‘Rain’ on players that are online, showering them with a set amount of coins that get added to their wallet. If you make a big win be sure to rain on your comrades!

Here’s a strategy you can employ that I and some others have found to work well:

The idea is that the multiplier overwhelmingly is above 1.1 (about 90% of the time), you can place a large bet, set the auto payout to a multiplier under 1.1 (I usually opt for 1.06) But beware using this strategy! It does hit 1.0 every so often so its important to switch it up. Every few rounds I take a portion of the 6% amount and ‘let it ride’ for a bigger multiplier. Especially when there hasn’t been a big one recently.

That’s all there is to Crash! Good luck and I hope your score big!
