Before spending a life savings for a college education, or worse by taking on massive debt, explore all the options. Exercise conscious choice because when it comes to learning, one size does not fit all. There are other post-secondary options that are more cost-effective and as impactful. The following video was posted in 2011, it's still relevant today.

Read history with your children. It will improve their reading comprehension and critical thinking. Pause while reading and  ask many thought provoking questions about the text. The first novel read by both of my sons, was Blood on the River by Elisa Carbone. It's a lively historical fiction book about a boy who becomes Captain John Smith's page in 1607. I read the book actively with both of my children. We read a couple of chapters every evening during the summer before their fourth grade school year.

Prioritize your big idea before you speak or write.

This Google technology is designed for individuals with speech and motor impairments. English is my third language and I think that this application could also benefit those learning English as a second or even third language.
