With another winning day in the books, I am edging ever closer to crossing the $90 mark in my SportsPlays balance. Getting there is tough when you consider that you are only given 50 cents to start with, but this proves that it can be done...
NHL Parlay - Jan 21 - Hurricanes, Islanders, Lightning - Parlay Odds +182
It's 1st versus 2nd in the Metropolitan Division, with the New York Rangers going on the road to face the Carolina Hurricanes. Both are in great form, but I am taking the Canes at home.
The Arizona Coyotes have hurt my parlays a couple of times over the last couple of weeks, but I don't think they'll do it again on the road against the New York Islanders.
The Tampa Bay Lightning go on the road for what is a tough game versus the Anaheim Ducks. The Lightning are winners of 4 in a row and playing great hockey. Sticking with them.
NBA Parlay - Jan 21 - Hornets, Jazz, Warriors - Parlay Odds -147
Not great odds for this parlay, but I don't really take that into account when making picks, as I go with the games I am most confident with, starting with the Hornets over the OKC Thunder.
The Utah Jazz are on a poor run of form at the moment with just 3 wins in their last 10, but you have to like them at home against the floundering Detroit Pistons.
The Warriors were one of the teams to let me down yesterday, but I am going right back to the well and taking them again tonight.
3X Play - Long Island Vs Wagner UNDER 145
I saw another handicapper talk about playing the UNDER in college basketball when the point total is set over 140. I tested it out last night and it came out pretty well, with 17 of the 27 games following that pattern. I'll continue to test it for a few days to see if it continues.
