It was a bit of a slow day in both the NBA and NHL yesterday, so I decided to skip it rather than trying to force some picks I didn't really like. There is good news to report, though, as both parlay plays for Saturday came in, delivering us a decent little profit, as seen below...

On a less positive note, the Dallas Cowboys killed my 6-game parlay. Went 4 out of 5 on that one, with the final leg set to go tonight. Below is my current balance over at SportsPlays, heading into today's action.
NHL Parlay - Jan 17 - Avalanche, Islanders, Golden Knights - Parlay Odds +320
The Colorado Avalanche are atop the Central Division after going 8-1-1 in their last 10 games, and while their Monday meeting with Minnesota is a tough one, I still like them at home.
The Islanders are dead last in the Metropolitan, but they have shown some signs of life, going 6-3-1 in their last 10, while their opponent tonight, the Philadelphia Flyers, have lost 7 in a row.
This is a bit of a risky bet given the current form of both teams, but I am going to take a chance with the Vegas Golden Knights at home to the Pittsburgh Penguins.
NBA Parlay - Jan 17 - Celtics, Grizzlies, Mavericks - Parlay Odds +107
The Celtics are looking to get back above the play-in line and should be able to take advantage of a New Orleans Pelicans team with just 1 win in their last 10 games.
The Memphis Grizzlies have been hot of late, winning 9 of their last 10 games, and while the Eastern Conference leading Bulls are their opponent on Monday night, Chicago is the loser of 3 in a row.
Sitting at 8-2 in their last 10, the Dallas Mavericks are on a good run of form. You would certainly like them to win against the Thunder, who are just 2-8 in their last 10 games.
3X Wager - Portland Trail Blazers -2
While this should be a tight one, I expect the Trail Blazers to do just enough to cover on the road at the Orlando Magic.
5-Unit Soccer Play - AC Milan to Win
Milan will host Spezia today in the Serie A and have beaten this opponent twice at home, outscoring them 6-1 in the process.
Good luck today, and please come join me over at SportsPlays.
