Bitcoin and the couch potato rebels

Bitcoin and the couch potato rebels

By ScreenTag | The Other Side | 19 Jul 2021

You see them commenting in every even mildly Bitcoin criticizing post. And their comments go in one of two directions: a) this post is written by someone supporting the establishment, and you shouldn't have read it, or b) this post is not offering any evidence to support claims in it - despite it actually does. The latter direction supporters will even deny evidence provided, despite the fact they provide zero evidence on their rebuttal claims.

They are the couch potato rebels. And they fight against 'the establishment', by accumulating fractions of a Bitcoin in a several years old wallet address. Some of them are members of the Bitcoin dev community. They are the future of Bitcoin. The future that lives in the past, and refuses to move a single day forward.

They are the rotten far-left or far-right conservatives (and don't be fooled, these two groups have the same ultra-conservative ideas), who believe for themselves they are progressive and fighting against 'the establishment'. In their arrogant stupidity, they can't realize they even fail to comprehend the simplest of progressive ideas. That's how they destroyed Bitcoin. And that's why Satoshi Nakamoto and all early development community members left them.

It's not that Satoshi Nakamoto (and other early devs), all of a sudden hated the Bitcoin project, and decided to leave. It's because the project was taken over by those couch potato rebels, and it couldn't be taken back. That's always the story with the couch potato rebels; they take over a promising project, and destroy it with their arrogant stupidity. That's why Satoshi Nakamoto was trying to keep the 60% of hashpower for himself; he realized what would happen if those pricks took over the project. But it was inevitable. He didn't have the resources to keep 51% of hashpower forever.

Bitcoin development stalled ever since. Some face-lifting here and there, does not move the project forward. Bitcoin is not even close to what Satoshi Nakamoto intended it to be. Reading the whitepaper and comparing what's in it to the current Bitcoin reality (that's 13 years later), is enough to realize that. Altcoins moved a lot farther than Bitcoin. Not because technically Bitcoin development couldn't move forward. But because the rotten couch potato rebels wouldn't let it. If they did, in their twisted minds, Bitcoin would become part of 'the establishment'.

But they wouldn't allow that. That's why they took over the Bitcoin project in the first place, right?

P.S.: Do not think for a second that Bitcoin is the only victim of couch potato rebels. Ethereum is facing similar issues in its transition to Ethereum 2.0, despite its development team is more centralized than Bitcoin. Buterin mentioned in a recent conference that 'the majority of the difficulties being faced are not technological, but rather stem from internal conflicts'. Why really this does not come as a surprise?
