A thing you won't find much about in the platform, is the Russian invasion to Ukraine - or as Emperor Putin prefers to call it, 'a special military operation'. Let's see if this 'operation' was even remotely justifiable.
The 'suffering' Russian-speaking minorities of PRL and PRD
In reality, half the population in Ukraine speaks Russian. Even Zelensky does. Language was never an issue in Ukraine. Russian puppet governments though, were. There were no Russian-speaking people suppressed by anyone until 2014 - that is as long as Ukraine was a protectorate of Russia. When the government was taken by people independent from the Russian government - aka Emperor Putin - all of a sudden, some military groups financed by the Russian government, through friendly oligarchs, declared independence - in hopes they would follow Crimea to annexation.
Although the connection of those military groups in Lugansk and Donetsk is more than obvious, anywhere in the world there is a similar situation, it is considered an internal matter. Any interested party, would take the situation to the UN or any other international organization, to have the situation resolved. If it's not resolved as agreed, the interested party would take it to the international organization again, and again, and again. What the interested party wouldn't do, was to invade in the country - especially when the interested party is a permanent member of the UN Security Council.
Let's face it! Donetsk and Lugansk were used by Emperor Putin as an excuse to take over Ukraine, and install another puppet government in Kiev - he even presented this demand in his surrender terms.
The government of 'Nazis'
Emperor Putin is easy in calling people names - especially those who disagree with him. An Ukrainian government looking at the best interest of Ukraine, should be called under his view a nationalist (or Nazi) government. Only Ukrainian governments loyal to Russia are not nationalist governments.
At least in Ukraine leaders and members of the opposition are not murdered or locked up in prison, for 'reasons of national security'. If the Ukrainian people were suppressed by a Nazi government, they would be fleeing once the war started to Russia, not anywhere but Russia.
Again, this was a fairy tale written by Emperor Putin. Conclusion: he is a total failure as a story teller - his stories are nowhere close to slightly believable.
Russia needs breathing space
That's the only truth spoken in this war. The question is why? Why does Russia need to control neighboring countries? Who has ever, since Emperor Putin took over - directly or indirectly - threatened Russia with territorial occupation? We all know the answer: nobody! Such a threat exists only in Emperor Putin's head.
But let's accept for a moment, such a threat does exist. How far should such a 'breathing zone' be extended? Which countries would such a zone include, besides Ukraine? Belarus? Poland? Lithuania? Estonia? Finland? How much 'breathing space' is enough for Emperor Putin? How much 'breathing space was enough for Hitler? Our recent history has the answer: 'breathing space' is never enough. People like Putin and Hitler will always want more. You know what was happening in Germany, and you know what is happening in Russia.
And you know what? It's easy to express your demands, when somebody else's ass is on the line.
