A report from the Korea Herald on April 23 has linked the acquisition of NXC, the parent company of South Korean video game publisher Nexon, to Walt Disney Company (NYSE: DIS).  This has sent waves through multiple crypto reporting websites due to Nexon's status as the world's second largest online gaming market.  The question remains whether Disney is interested in acquiring two cryptocurrency exchanges (Bitstamp and Korbit) and that are also owned by NXC.

A Reuters report has NXC fielding bids from Chinese gaming giant Tencent, South Korean internet giant Kakao and a few private equity firms.  

After reading the article more critically, I'm not 100% confident there's actually any substance to this rumor.  I think this is a strategy used by NXC to leak the rumored interest from Disney in an attempt to create a more favorable final sale price.
